Information you give us. Your email address, optionally your name and phone number, your property address, and the mortgage details you enter — purchase price, loan amount, interest rate, closing date, current balance, and monthly PMI amount.
Information generated for you. The eligibility results we calculate, and — if you subscribe to PMI Watch — a monthly record of your home's estimated value and loan-to-value ratio.
Payment information. Handled entirely by Stripe. We receive a confirmation and a transaction reference; we never receive or store your full card number.
Technical information. Standard server logs, an authentication cookie that keeps you signed in, and analytics cookies set by Google Analytics (see below).
We use two kinds of cookies. The first is essential: a single authentication cookie that keeps you signed in. Without it the service can't work.
The second is analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and move through the site — which pages get read, which searches bring people here, where visitors drop off. This tells us what to write next and what to fix. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address; Google anonymizes IP addresses in Analytics 4 by default. We have not enabled Google Analytics advertising features, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles or retarget you.
We do not run advertising pixels. If you'd rather not be measured at all, you can block analytics cookies in your browser settings, use your browser's Do Not Track / tracking-prevention feature, or install Google's opt-out add-on. Blocking analytics has no effect on your ability to use the service.
We never send your loan details, property address, or eligibility results to Google Analytics. Analytics sees page views and general usage, not the numbers you enter.
We do not ask for your Social Security number, your bank or servicer login credentials, or your date of birth. We do not perform a credit check, and using our service has no effect on your credit score.
To run the eligibility calculation, generate your cancellation letter and CFPB complaint with your details, re-check your value monthly and alert you when you qualify (if subscribed), process payments, send sign-in links and service messages, and respond to support requests.
We do not use your loan data for advertising, and we do not build profiles for third parties.
Only the service providers that make the product work:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger or acquisition — in which case this policy continues to apply until you're given notice of any change.
We keep your account and loan data while your account is open, so your dashboard and documents remain available. We keep transaction records as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Delete your account and we remove your personal data, other than records we're legally required to retain.
You can request access to your data, correction of it, or deletion of your account at any time by emailing support@financialvault.com. You can cancel PMI Watch at any time, which stops monthly scans and alerts. Service emails like sign-in links aren't marketing and are required to use an account.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion, to request correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of — but you may still exercise your other rights by emailing support@financialvault.com. We will verify your request through your account email address and respond within the timeframes the law requires. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in a managed database with restricted access. Sign-in uses one-time email links rather than passwords, so there is no password of yours for us to lose. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
The service is for adults with a mortgage and is not directed to anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
We'll post updates here with a new effective date, and notify you by email if the changes are material.
